Together, we knit and crochet infant blankets and baby hats that become part of a precious layette set for Joey’s Pouch at Williamson Medical Center. Whether you’re brand new and want to learn or you’re already an experienced knitter or crocheter, we would love to have you with us. It’s a fun and meaningful way to build friendships with other members while creating a very special and much-loved gift for families—a beautiful outfit to help welcome their baby home. We are so grateful for every stitch, every smile, and every caring heart that make this ministry so special. Just show up, and we will get you started.

We provide all of the yarn and baby outfits. Marcia Domene is our Yarn Group leader. Feel free to reach out to her with questions.

International Women's Day (Monday, March 08, 2027)

Mon, 08 Mar 2027 06:00:00 GMT

International Women’s Day, observed on March 8, celebrates the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women globally. “Give To Gain” is the 2026 theme of International Women’s Day, a campaign that may be supported all year long. People, organizations, and communities are encouraged to celebrate the accomplishments of women either through donations, resources, advocacy, or education. “Giving—whether it is time, knowledge, resources, or visibility—is not a subtraction; it is an intentional multiplication.” ~ Anonymous

The GFWC WHRC Unity Project – “Herstories Shape Our Future” calls upon clubs to collaborate with local libraries, museums, schools, and/or other civic organizations to sponsor an event during Women’s History Month (March). By sharing stories of local female educators, community servants (firefighters, librarians), business leaders, legislators, and volunteers, we will record and celebrate the advancement of women, thus leading the Change and giving to Gain.
