    Develop and support outreach initiatives that address immediate community needs through hands-on volunteer service and collaboration with local organizations. Programs focus on assisting individuals and families facing hunger, housing insecurity, financial hardship, and other challenges. Community Outreach efforts encourage compassion, service, and civic responsibility while strengthening connections within the community and providing meaningful support to those in need.

    The GFWC Civic Engagement and Outreach Community Service Program reminds GFWC members that each of us is part of a larger society and is responsible for undertaking actions that will create a better quality of life and foster a sense of community—locally, regionally, nationally, and globally. This Community Service Program highlights and encourages citizenship; crime prevention, safety, and disaster preparedness; the needy, hungry, and homeless; and our military personnel and veterans.

    Article 26 of the United Nations’ 1948 Universal Declaration of Human Rights states that “everyone has the right to education.” Education can open doors and expand opportunities and freedoms for their members, their communities, and the world. Education contributes to fostering peace, democracy, and economic growth, as well as improving health and reducing poverty.

Through preservation, maintenance, and restoration of our natural resources, it strives to educate members about the importance of beautifying our communities; preserving, maintaining, and restoring natural resources; and stimulating citizen action to address these concerns.

    To promote and support arts activities in all communities and to inspire women. Creating programs and projects that include music, dance, drama, theatre, and other arts-related areas, both traditional and innovative. The artistic experience can be outward reaching or for inner satisfaction.
