About the 2026 Event
![]() | The GFWC-TN Brentwood Franklin Woman’s Service Club's annual Celebrate Spring fundraiser was a joyful and inspiring celebration of service, patriotism, and community. Guests were welcomed to a festive red, white, and blue-themed event, beautifully accented with meaningful floral touches featuring the daisy, the flower of the Brentwood Franklin Woman's Service Club, and the red rose, symbolizing both GFWC and our nation. Together, these details added beauty and significance to a day devoted to honoring the women who serve our community, as well as our veterans, first responders, and military personnel. Setting a stirring patriotic tone for the occasion, tenor David Walton, who was in town performing the role of Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville, sang a moving rendition of the National Anthem. His performance made the celebration even more memorable and perfectly reflected the spirit of the day. A special highlight of the event was the presentation of a BFWSC honorary membership to Franklin Chief of Police Deb Faulkner, in recognition of her dedicated service and leadership. It was a meaningful and heartfelt moment in a program centered on gratitude, service, and civic pride. Guests were also deeply moved by performances from four songwriters from Operation Song, (see the information below) a Nashville-based nonprofit that connects professional songwriters with veterans, active-duty military, and their families to help them tell their stories through song. Founded in 2012 by songwriter Bob Regan, Operation Song offers a powerful creative outlet for healing, reflection, and connection. Their heartfelt stories and songs left a lasting impression on all in attendance. The day also included many delightful touches. Guests received a beautiful tote bag, handmade earrings, and other special gifts, and many went home with treasures from the wine and spirit pull, grab bags, and, for a few lucky winners, a Liberty Basket and wonderful silent auction items. Most of all, Celebrate Spring was a joyful gathering filled with friendship, generosity, and shared purpose. As we commemorated the 250th anniversary of our nation, we were proud to reflect on the many patriotic and civic contributions of GFWC and the Brentwood Franklin Woman's Service Club through the years. It was a truly beautiful day of celebration, service, and community spirit. |
